Start: The boats will gather between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m (30

and spreading themselves among various connecting canals, will reach
the Giudecca Canal and position there without overcoming Punta della

Progressive numbers: The progressive numbers given upon

finishing line, soon after receiving the prize, boats will have to
leave and make space for the other crews coming in.
Participation prizes: The Vogalonga is not a competition,
therefore, there is no bulletin for the finish times. Each rower who
crosses the finish line will receive a certificate of participation
and a commemorative medal. The organizers reserve the right to
raffle off, among the participants who have completed the route, one
or more boats, as well as other prizes possibly donated by public or
private institutions. Winners will be chosen randomly by the month
of October, and will be able to claim their prize by showing the
number they received at enrolment.
Rules and checks: Crews should not cut in front of other
boats, avoid crossing others’ oars and refrain from any other action
which might harm participants. Furthermore, boats should follow only
the official route, marked by signs arranged by the Organizing
Committee. Along the route there will be hidden check points.
Behaviour and Disciplinary Actions: The moral and
sportsmanlike behaviour of all participants is subject to the
verification and unappealable decision on the part of the Organizing
Committee, starting from enrolment. Penalties will be applied
whenever behaviour is deemed unfair. Advertising signage on crews
and boats is absolutely not allowed.
Accidents and Assistance: The Organizing Committee is not
liable for any accident, injury or damage participants may suffer or
cause to people or property during the event. The crews and boats
can count on assistance services until 2:30 p.m. on the day of the
event.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify these
rules in any way, if necessary.
By enrolling, all participants consent to the personal data
